About the Harteværket
Visit Denmark's first major hydroelectric power plant, built between 1918 and 1920. The power station still produces electricity! But it is also used as an experience centre where visitors can learn about the history and importance of hydropower.

Hydropower in many ways
Children can play in the large water playground where they can control the water's path through mazes and water machines. This is a fun way to learn about the properties of water. For the adventurous, you can rent canoes or kayaks and sail on the Kolding River. It's a beautiful nature experience. There is also a trampoline park that challenges the laws of physics through play.

Plenty of space for play and cosiness
Harteværket offers plenty of room to play in the surroundings. If you get tired, you can sit in the packed lunch house and enjoy your packed lunch in the scenic surroundings. If you like hiking, lace up your boots and set off on one of the beautiful hiking routes in the area. Take the Hartesløjfen, for example, a 12-kilometre-long cycling and hiking route that winds through forest paths and along lakes.
